On Saturday, June 10, 2017 the Northwest Community College Initiative (NWCCI) hosted the third CCI Live Conference for alumni of the Community College Initiative Program (CCI).  This event brought alumni of the CCI program together in a virtual space for a four hour leadership conference. Alumni had opportunities to network with each other as they heard from entrepreneurs in the private sector, NGO and government leaders, academic researchers, members of the CCI team and CCI alumni in sessions on topics including: global leadership, media literacy, peace building, storytelling, and personal branding. A highlight of the conference was a panel called “CCI Alumni Making a Difference,” which featured six CCI alumni who talked about the community engagement work they have done since completing the CCI program.

This event took place 100% online and participants were able to listen to presentations and interact with each other and with the guest presenters via moderated chat. All sessions were recorded and will be available online for approximately six months after the event. Alumni who were unable to participate in the live event can logon at any time to listen to the presentations.

350 people registered for CCI Live, including participants from 23 countries and all nine program years that the CCI program has existed.

Check out the CCI Live webpage for more information and to listen to the recorded sessions!
