Nurdian: A peek into the life of an Indonesian NWCCI student

Nurdian Djuhasin, “Dian” is a Northwest Community College Initiative (NWCCI) student studying hotel management at Whatcom Community College. She was asked by the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF) to produce the following video. She enlisted the help of fellow NWCCI students Latif from Pakistan as cameraman, and Wadhah from Yemen as editor. Dian shares a little insight into the life of the NWCCI student at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, Washington.

The American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF), established in 1992, is a binational non-profit foundation which administers the Fulbright and other related scholarship programs inIndonesia. The primary focus of the Fulbright Program in Indonesia is to promote mutual understanding between the Republic of Indonesia and the United States of America through educational exchange and academic scholarship (http://www.aminef.or.id).

The NWCCI program is part of the Community College Initiative, an exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
