Salman: NWCCI Retreat Video

This year Northwest Community College Initiative (NWCCI) students participated in the first NWCCI retreat at Warm Beach Camp.  The retreat schedule included activities intended to help participants develop leadership skills, determine personal strengths, get to know each other, and set goals for the future.  A highlight for everyone one was a Saturday evening talent show which showcased students’ many talents.

Salman Ottamaliyekkal, an Indian participant studying media at Pierce College, created the video below which forces us to ask, if a picture is worth a thousand words, how much can a video say? It also makes us wish we were studying media at Pierce College.

Thank you to all of the NWCCI participants who contributed to this video, especially the extraordinary team at Pierce College!   To read more about the retreat check out Salima and Daniel’s blog posts from earlier this year.

The NWCCI program is part of the Community College Initiative, an exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs.
